AccuMolecular : Predictive Tests

The Human Genome project which was completed in 2003, has dramatically changed the landscape of how medicine will be practiced in the near future. The discoveries associated with genetic mapping are already shifting the focus of the standard approach to medicine from a “sickness model” to a more “predictive model”. Recent genetic mapping discoveries have not been limited to one particular discipline of healthcare but rather have expanded the field of DNA testing to include diagnostic tests to develop targeted therapies, prediction of future disease, and the behavioral sciences. As we move forward in this discipline, AccuMolecular Diagnostics will make available such tests that have been deemed scientifically and medically acceptable.

AccuMolecular Diagnostics accepts specimens for Predictive/Asymptomatic Disease evaluation if they are requested from a legally authorized individual and accompanied by a properly executed Informed Patient Consent. Patient acknowledgment of understanding of the purpose of the test, reliability and predictive certainty of such testing, and other conditions may apply. If a sample is received with out the proper pre-testing conditions, AccuMolecular Diagnostics will contact the requesting individual to complete the pre-testing conditions prior to testing.
